Oregon Roots. Global Experience. Vested Interest.
Growing up in the mid-valley and attending college at the University of Oregon, I have deep Oregon roots. But I also have a global perspective, having lived overseas for several years. My oldest child, Andrew, now a third grader at River Grove elementary, was born in Amsterdam while my family was on expat assignment. My youngest, Ava, in first grade at River Grove, was born in Tokyo. Before returning to Oregon and my dream job at Nike, I had the good fortune to spend a couple years in Westchester County, New York. All of these experiences have shaped my world view and the possibilities that I see for my kids, and yours.
My partner, Ricard, and I have made our blended family home in the Westlake neighborhood with our combined four kids, Marc, Bet, Andrew and Ava. When we aren’t shuttling kids between gymnastics, hockey and the sport du jour, our family can be found on the slopes at Mt. Hood in the winter and the beaches of Barcelona (Ricard's birthplace!) when school is out. We love getting outside and exploring new locations, cuisines and cultures as much as time and budget permit. I'm looking forward to talking to members of our school community to find out what keeps them up at night and how our district could serve them better.
